“Did you hear about the Hancocks?”  “Did I read this right?”  “It’s got to be correct…I read it on Facebook.  Well…yes…it is true.  The Hancocks are relocating back up north.

What about Wycliffe Associates?  Have they left the ministry?  That is the best part….WA is allowing us to continue with the ministry but in a colder climate.  Technology is really opening up doors for national translators to start Bible translation projects from anywhere around the world. Technology is also allowing people to serve outside of the office and still feel connected with the ministry.  Mark will continue his role on ensuring that the proper technology is used and deployed to various parts of the world, making sure that MAST trips have the tech personnel to support the national translators, and we hope to connect the ministry of Wycliffe Associates with Faith Baptist Church and the other churches in the northeast.

So why are you coming back? or Are you crazy?  Going back to the snow and leaving the sun and the palm trees?  First of all…it does not hurt being closer to our grand children…but really we are not going back because of them.  When we started this journey with WA the Lord opened every door to get here.  Oh yes…during that process of waiting just so we could start…we learned a lot and trusted God more.  Boy…it has been a wild ride since we arrived in Orlando with Wycliffe Associates. Like all wild rides, you get to a point that you think the ride is over but then you are surprised and upside down crying like a baby.  I would not have missed this for the world.  What a privilege it is to partner with you and serve national churches and translators as they are translating God’s word in their own heart language.

The ride is not over.  We need you during this most critical time in Bible translation history.  Becky and I are still depending on you to continue your partnership with prayers and with your financial support.  Mark will still continue supporting MAST events and ensuring that national translators have the equipment they need to do their work.  Becky will still be assisting the HR/Recruiting team to make sure that volunteers and staff are ready to travel to parts unknown.  We hope to include you on this ride too.  Not with our dazzling newsletter stories…but with helping configure tech and even going out and serving translators.

Earlier we celebrated our 9th year serving with Wycliffe Associates here in Orlando Florida.  When I say we…I mean we all have celebrated 9 years with Wycliffe Associates.  It has always been us on this journey.  Now it is time to take that next step and see where God takes us.
