We have received this update from the translation event in the Pacific:
Thanks for getting the prayer request for the translators out as you did. Today more than half of those who were sick returned to the workshop. Attitudes seem to be pretty good in spite of that scary experience for them. This seems to have brought the translation team together
The local Church has been overwhelmingly supportive.
Still, the translators’ spirits are strong. They want this. In a meeting with about 30 church leaders on Saturday following the Opening Ceremony, we had unanimous approval to move forward with the translation of the Old Testament into the local language. One of the Elders exclaimed, “We have been waiting for this!”
